The sale of the SSL theater to the CBID (Central Business Improvement District) was finalized on Monday May 7. The plan is for UAFS to now contract with the CBID to lease the building and take over operation of the facility. Over the next few weeks the Board of Directors for SSL will work with UAFS to review options for the future. We will continue to keep you posted on developments as they occur.

Dear Second Street Live! patron,
You have probably heard or read about the recent events at Second Street Live!
First, let me say, Second Street Live! is still alive and the board of directors are meeting regularly and working hard to continue to bring you the best live music in Fort Smith.
Second Street Live! is as committed to our mission to serve Artist, Audience, and Community as we have ever been. This is a transition time for SSL, and honestly, we do not yet know how the next few weeks of final negotiations and performance arrangements will play out. Those are just a few of the decisions the board will be working on during the next few weeks.
The sale of the Second Street Live! facility to the Central Business Improvement District (CBID) and the University of Arkansas Fort Smith (UAFS) has been finalized. In the next few weeks we will have a clearer picture of what the future will be like for SSL and we will be able to finalize our plans for next year’s line-up of entertainment. As we learn more we will keep you advised.
Your generous support and enthusiasm for what we do is our guiding force to continue with our mission to provide world-class entertainment for Fort Smith and the surrounding area. Thank you for all of your support.
Sincerely,
Jim Perry
President, Second Street Live!
