Bobby is a native of Booneville and Fort Smith, a graduate of the University of Arkansas, a retired Executive Officer of Beverly Enterprises, Inc. and is currently a regional property manager and owner. Married for 41 years, he and his wife, Beth, have two grown sons who live in the area. "I feel fortunate to have lived in Fort Smith all my adult life. I have been involved with our 801 Club Concert Series from the beginning and we are moving forward to a new level with Second Street Live. This organization helps bring 1st Class artists to perform in our community, which improves our quality of life."
Rob Goodfellow is Director of Sales and Marketing for Dynamic Air Quality Solutions, a manufacturer of residential and commercial air cleaners. His career includes twenty plus years in sales and marketing in the Indoor Air Quality and HVAC industries. Rob moved to Fort Smith from Western Springs, Illinois in 1973. He attended Southside High School and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. "It's great to be part of the arts and entertainment here in Fort Smith. Not only is it fun and something that my family enjoys, but it is one more thing that can help to attract and keep talented young professionals in our growing community."
Bill is President of Hanna Oil and Gas USA and Canada. Educated at the University of Arkansas, he began work at Hanna Oil and Gas Company in 1983 and served in several capacities until his transfer to Calgary, Alberta in 1987 where he established Hanna Gas and Oil Canada. Returning to Fort Smith in 1992, Bill has served on numerous professional and community service boards. He and his wife Adrienne have three sons, and Bill is a musician, art collector and generous supporter of the Arts.
Gary Boland moved to Fort Smith 12 years ago from Shreveport, Louisiana to join Stephens Production Company, a private oil and gas company, where he currently serves as Vice President of Exploration. He has been a season ticket holder for the 801 Concert Series for the last four years and is a member of the Riverfront Blues Society. Gary is a native of Atlanta, Texas, and enjoys Arkansas and the rich atmosphere of historic Fort Smith. "It is truly a pleasure to work with the talented board of Second Street Live and have the opportunity to participate in the exciting growth of Downtown Fort Smith."
John is a native of Fort Smith and have long been a downtown and community activist. He has been Chairman of the Riverfront Development Task Force, Found Board member of the Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Society, Partner in the 801 House Concert Series, a Board member of the Youth Arts Coalition and is currently a member of the Rediscover Downtown Think Tank. John is a Northside High and Tulsa University graduate, and former owner of The McIntosh Group.
Although a native Texan, Kim's growing up years covered many states because of her father's career with Schlumberger in New Mexico, Colorado, Alaska, and Louisiana. She graduated from Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. After graduating from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville she moved to Fort Smith in 1978. Kim has worked for the Community Rescue Mission as the office manager/bookkeeper for the past ten years. She is currently serving on the entertainment/planning committee for the Fort Smith Town Club. Kim has three children and two step-children, and is married to Phil White. She and Phil are very active in supporting a vibrant Downtown Fort Smith.
Jim Perry is a lifelong resident of Fort Smith and has been an active member of the community for many years. After studying art at Westark and the University of Arkansas, Jim received his degree in Graphic Design from OSU Okmulgee. After spending over 20 years in the local advertising industry, he has served for 12 years as a manager in the ABF marketing department. He is the former chairman of the Visual Communications department of OSU Okmulgee, and is a founding member of the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Visual Communications advisory board. He is also serving his fifth term as a Justice of the Peace on the Sebastian County Quorum Court. “Second Street Live offers the opportunity to enjoy visual and performing art usually only found in places much larger than Fort Smith. It will be a tremendous cultural addition to our great city.”
I was born in Chicago, graduated from Loretto Heights College in Denver with a degree in Music and Early Childhood Education. My husband and I moved to Fort Smith in 1972 when I started teaching at Hobson Preschool and Kindergarten. I taught Kindergarten for twelve years and was the Director of the school for seven years. I was on the board and chaired several committees of the Junior League of Fort Smith. I am currently a volunteer for the March of Dimes and am a board member of the Lincoln Childcare Center. I have three children and enjoy being a grandmother. I am very excited and honored to be part of the vision building a beautiful venue that will add to the arts and entertainment of Fort Smith.
Mike is a Fort Smith native and Northside High School graduate. He is also a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, with a degree in pharmacy and is owner of Coleman Pharmacy. A long-time resident of Fort Smith, Mike is a member of the Fort Smith Parks and Recreation Commission and has been involved in many efforts to improve the quality of life in Fort Smith. "The appearance of our town, its parks and riverfront, and the cultural amenities promoted by Second Street Live, are crucial in keeping and attracting people and business to the city."
John moved to Fort Smith in 1990 from Oklahoma City. He is the owner of Thomsen Construction, specializing in custom carpentry, remodel, and renovation since 1978. John has been married to Suzanne Thomsen for 37 years. Suzanne is a counselor in the Fort Smith schools and they have one son, Issac, who is a doctor living in Nashville. John and Suzanne have been involved with Second Street Live for over five years as subscribers. John is also a musician who has supported live music all of his adult life. "I consider it a pleasure to be with the board members of Second Street Live. In addition to serving as the board construction manager I look forward to addressing the challenges and decisions that will come with making Second Street Live a viable and important part of the Fort Smith community."
